It cannot be spoken about or written about too much as I do believe it difficult for those in great health or no pain to understand HOW VERY MUCH making a difference means to the client.<br />
<br />
I have a small story to illustrate this point. and yes, it is quite possible the reader has seen this story before. But it is so dramatic that perhaps a reminder will help.<br />
<br />
I was seeing a client who was coming to me for pain relief and nausea relief from chemotherapy. She knew her cancer was spreading and was already at a very advanced stage when she first came. I think I only worked on her for 3 sessions but I remember so distinctly when she came for her 2nd session. I asked was she feeling any better after the first session and she very happily exclaimed "I was able to fold my sheets for the first time in months!"<br />
<br />
Being able to perform a task many of us would take for granted produced such a profound sense of accomplishment for her - yes, MAKING A DIFFERENCE is worth its weight in gold!<br />
<br />
Never approach therapeutics with the idea you are going to do anything but the best you can. Always DO THE BEST YOU CAN, and realize you <u>are</u> MAKING A DIFFERENCE!QigongAmericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12500782610870388657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7067361574459883912.post-58500680188706014202015-02-14T12:07:00.000-08:002015-02-14T12:07:15.237-08:00In Search of He Shou Wu<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
In Search of Ho Shou Wu</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
He Shou Wu Ho Shoe Wa Ho SHOE WOO HEY SHAW WO Hei SHO WOO Hu Shwa Wa HEI SHOE WOO hey shoe wo....</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
OK, a story from my past I am sure I have posted before but not for quite some time - details do become blurry after so many years but this is one of the funniest things....</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
After riding on a bus for several hours, we had finally reached it! The largest herbal/TCM open-market in China! Acres and acres of at least 5 varieties of every 5,000+ herbal/animal/mineral substance used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. OMG! I had never seen anything like it! WOW Oh WOW!</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
After an hour or so of just walking around and checking it out I decided to fill my list. So here I went. First two items CHECK! GOT IT!</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
A little more difficult getting my next few items but it went fairly smoothly.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
And then, due to my expert Mandarin pronunciation (those Chinese don't really know how to pronounce this stuff) I had one of the funniest things happen. I wanted He Shou Wu!</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
So I started going around looking but due to the immensity of the market I was having no luck. Then I made the mistake and asked. Holy mispronunciation batman! %$#@*&(*$##&^ </div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
NO ONE understood what I was asking for. So a couple of doctors decided to help me out so we went in search of...</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
Naturally, we started drawing a crowd. I finally got the idea I wasn't saying it correctly. So I tried some variations - Ho SHoe Woo? HO SHO WA? h sho wa? HE Sho Woo HE' shoe WOOO' - with tonal emphasis variation all over the place.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
This just drew a larger crowd. Who was this tall long nose who had beard of an old man but mannerisms of a young man? And who couldn't speak Mandarin worth a dang?</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
Pretty soon we had 25 doctors and pharmacists following me around and away we went, looking from stall to stall with everyone trying to help!</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
Then there were 50 or more, making a dragons tail through the market! </div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
I honestly don't remember or even know exactly how many were walking around with me, trying their best to be helpful, but it was one big show.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
Finally, I came to a booth - and there it was, the mysterious He Shu Wu! I picked a piece up and said THIS! THIS is what I was looking for! And a large sigh and exclamation went through the crowd. OH! He Shou Wu! Then everyone began clapping and smiling and shaking their heads - huh, He Shou Wu. Who would have thought it!</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
But that is what I said to start with, wasn't it? He Shou Wu</div>

<br />
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
It appears there are many who have never been exposed to the Chinese Healing Arts. This article was written to give these folks a basic overview of forms of therapeutics utilized in the Chinese Healing Arts.. I am attempting to keep this simple with basic instead of complex wording.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
Although there are many approaches to therapeutics inside both Traditional & Classic Chinese Medicine, I think it safe to say the concept of Qi is an underlying aspect of most of these forms. In this topic, we can define Qi as the life flow of energetics.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
A bit of history:</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
What is now called Traditional Chinese Medicine differs greatly from what many call Classical Chinese Medicine. Unfortunately, the communists, in efforts to "standardize", have "dumbed down" what is now taught in the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) schools, dictating a specific wording and methodology. Beyond this, we have the CCM (Classical Chinese Medicine) which include many almost-lost forms and advanced concepts. For example, the current style of acupuncture taught in TCM differs greatly from advanced needling concepts taught in CCM, Another example is advanced therapeutics forms like "Chinese Taoist Medicine" which would fall under CCM and be virtually unknown in TCM.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
Although this article is not meant to be comprehensive, there are several categories which we could break down into a few basic categories:</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
1) Acupuncture</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
Actually, there is no real word for "acupuncture" as the word is an invented westernized term. But we are referring to needling. Most people in the west have heard of and many have utilized this therapeutic form. But we should realize that the practitioners of TCM are generally practicing a completely different approach than those who practice CCM.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
Also we should include moxa therapy here, which is performed by burning an herbal/base which adds intense heat to "acupuncture points" which are energy vortices that tap into the energy distribution system of the body. The main concept of acupuncture is to balance this energy distribution system.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
An internet search will list many studies done on acupuncture.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
2) Chinese Herbal Medicine</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
There are over 5,000 items in the Chinese pharmacopoeia. Although often referred to as "Chinese Herbal Medicine" These consist of herbs, minerals, and animal by-products or parts. Needless to say this can get very complicated and it is not suggested for people to experiment with this therapeutic form as the combinations utilized are quite powerful and if not monitored by a knowledgeable practitioner could potentially do more harm than good.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
An internet search will list much information on Chinese Herbal Medicine.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
3) Tui Na & Acupressure</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
Tui Na is the advanced massage form of TCM & CCM. Many hospitals in China have Tui Na departments. It is utilized therapeutically to treat a wide variety of conditions and is extremely effective. It is not as widely known in the west as acupuncture but in China it is ranked right up there at the top of therapeutic forms.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
Also the term "Anmo" is utilized to refer to Chinese Massage techniques.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
Acupressure is generally referring to finger pressure (mostly thumb) to the acupoints and has the same goal as acupuncture.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
4) Medical Qigong</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
The term "medical qigong" covers the many energetic forms of therapeutics utilized in the Qigong Hospitals of China. Also, many of the hospitals have a Medical Qigong department. It is a highly-specialized and extremely effective therapeutic form with an almost unprecedented therapeutic efficacy. Its use has been proven through several decades of Chinese hospitals and clinics as well as through its vast history of development. It refers to what is called Wai Qi Liao Fa which means "healing with external energy". Most of the forms utilize off-body energy projection although some incorporate on-body techniques. </div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
There are also advanced and specialized forms of Medical Qigong. An example of one which has been introduced to the West is Chinese Taoist Medicine, which is a neuro-energetic bodywork form based on medical qigong application of/to the complete neurological system of the body. Forms like this are not as well known as the general medical qigong, but even medical qigong itself is not as widely known in the west as forms like acupuncture.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
I would be remiss if I didn't mention the self-practice of energetics called Qigong. Although not an applied therapeutic form, this self-practice has proven itself in benefits to millions of people across the world. </div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
Since medical qigong is not as widely known I will list some research suggestions:</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
http://qigonginstitute.org/html/database.php This is a compilation of research abstracts, a project of Dr Ken Sancier, and includes abstracts from studies performed all over the world which includes the many studies done in China. Dr Sancier was well known for his research at Stanford Research Institute.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
http://qigonginstitute.org/html/scientificbasis.php#Medical Research This page has many good articles on qigong and energy medicine.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
There are several schools of medical/clinical qigong in the USA. In China, after the fallout of falun gong challenging the communist government, the governmental policies have resulted in the closing of many of the dedicated qigong hospitals and suppression of information concerning medical qigong. What was once mainstream in the 80's and 90's and demonstrating tremendous growth is now a shadow of itself in China.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14.399999618530273px;">
To sum this posting, I would suggest to each person reading that they open their minds to the concept of "world medicine" and not dismiss these amazing therapeutic forms from China. Unfortunately many people are still under the mistaken impression that allopathic western medicine is the only "proven" form of medicine. This simply is not so. Although scientific investigation and study is valuable, history of use has over and over again proven to be our ally in investigating the validity of medicinal therapeutics. Just look at the many western allopathic compounds that were proven by scientific study to be safe and have efficacy which were later proven, through history of use, to be harmful with no efficacy. These Chinese medicine forms have a vast history of use in proving their safety and efficacy and are now being investigated through the western scientific model.</div>

--------------<br />
Holy smakerals batman! Such a simple subject and I am totally blown away at the misconceptions I have been hearing, or rather seeing posted on forums. Heaven is Yang, Earth is Yin. I think that is one thing that is not questioned. Well...., it could be. But lets us just say it is not for the purpose of this article.<br />
Here goes an attempt at explaining these things which are really unexplainable. A person cannot tell another exactly what Yin Qi or Yang Qi feels like - it is impossible and is a thing which can only be experienced for oneself.<br />
<br />
Lets start with Earth. After all, we do live here - at least some of us.<br />
<br />
Just what the heck is Earth Qi? Do different systems have an Earth Qi that is totally different than other system's Earth Qi? Can a person feel Earth Qi? Are their specific exercises one has to do to feel Earth Qi?<br />
<br />
Dang - so many questions yet you wanted answers not questions, eh?<br />
<br />
OK. First off there is not a different Earth Qi from one system to the next. In essence, we are all speaking of the same thing. Yes, different systems have different ways of approaching the Earth Qi concept. Some, I believe, use it but do not even recognize it (weird huh!).<br />
<br />
Next I would say that Earth Qi most definitely unquestionably absolutely without a doubt CAN be felt and/or experienced. And yes, I can easily prove this by allowing each person to prove it to themselves. That is, each person who is actually willing to study a valid system instead of reading a book and thinking they do understand based on introductory descriptions in said books. I have a secret to tell you - the books are written as introductions and NEVER contain the complete teachings. And this is really as it should be as these things get quite involved as one progresses.<br />
<br />
For instance, one beginners method that is quite valid for experiencing Earth Qi, a method that is quite common among MANY different cultures and MANY different systems within those cultures, is to simply make contact with Earth - sitting on Earth.<br />
<br />
Does the above method work?<br />
Yes, I certainly would say so. I have seen Shamans who basically utilized this method who were very good at manipulating Earth energetics.<br />
<br />
Does adding a wire to Earth make a difference?<br />
It depends. If one is sitting on Earth they are already making contact and a wire does nothing at all. If a person is ONLY making contact through the wire then mostly what will happen is a static discharge which WILL make a difference in one's energetic sensitivity. But this difference is not so much nor as good as simply sitting on Earth due to contact area. The FIELD of Qi is what we are looking for, not a static discharge or current flow through a wire, even though for others reasons a static discharge is quite helpful.<br />
<br />
But what does the above do for a person?<br />
It lets them experience what I will call SURFACE EARTH QI.<br />
<br />
Wait a minute, I thought you said that the concept of Earth Qi is the same among systems.<br />
<br />
Well, it is and it isn't.<br />
<br />
I will further explain. What beginners feel, for the most part, is the surface Earth Qi.<br />
But there are different layers of Earth Qi and I will simplify (yeah, I know...) this and divide it into 3 basic layers 1) Surface Earth Qi, 2) Mid Layer Earth Qi, and 3) Core Earth Qi. Of course this simplification doesn't recognize the fact that many different levels of vibration occur as one sinks deeper therefore rendering said simplification totally inaccurate. However, it really is a good way of considering the different frequencies, this dividing of Earth Qi into 3 basic layers.<br />
<br />
So who feels or can manipulate the Mid-Layer? An accomplished practitioner of several years is usually one who can. This requires one to raise their energy body vibration to the point of actually being able to go this deep.<br />
<br />
OK. So who can feel and manipulate the Core energetics? The adept can. One who has studied with a teacher who understands these layers, who has put much time&effort into practicing, and who has reached a certain level of accomplishment with wai qi liao fa. It really does require one to put in much time&effort to actually be able to do so, though.<br />
<br />
Wait a minute - how come I have never heard of this before?<br />
There are teachings usually not talked about. But I love hiding things in plain sight. The truth is, many will read this but only one in 10,000 will ever actually study the teachings and practice the internal cultivation to the point where anything I have said will have any actual meaning for them.<br />
<br />
But what about you saying anyone can prove this to themselves?<br />
Oh, that is quite easy. There are 3 or 4 specific exercises in the Gift of the Tao system that, when performed for a period of time, MOST people will tell you they CAN feel the difference between Earth Qi and Heaven Qi. In fact, I guarantee it - feel Earth Qi TO YOUR SATISFACTION THAT IT IS SO or within 30 days from the purchase of a Gift of the Tao DVD get a full refund (less shipping cost)<br />
<br />
OK. Now what about Heaven Qi?<br />
I do think I will save that one for a future blog post.QigongAmericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12500782610870388657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7067361574459883912.post-13483990760502910942013-09-07T11:05:00.000-07:002013-09-07T11:05:01.097-07:00Only 3 Things Needed!<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
I would like to comment on the apparent misunderstanding of the 3 things needed in order to progress.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
1) Be a good & moral person</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
It seems many have a problem with the word "moral". And I am sure one reason this is so is due to religious connotations from religions that wish to control others. However, it does seem a bit odd to me that most would object to the word and it leads me to wonder just where everyone is coming from. Do you not wish to do the "right thing", in harmony with Tao, at any given moment? THIS is what I mean by 1) BE a good & moral person.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
To explain further, one can look at it like this: "Moral" means reaching a level of connection & harmony with one's true self - not the intellectual brain oriented thinking, but the part of us that actually ALWAYS knows the right thing to do in any moment. </div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
Therefore it is very simple to be a good & moral person. All one has to do is reach the level of truly understanding and interacting in harmony with one's true self, then dance in the Wu Wei so that one's true self is acting in harmony with the moment by moment changes in the universe and the related energy flow. Then every choice is "moral" at any given moment. </div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
Simple, eh? Yes it is. HOWEVER (of course there is a "gotcha"), simple does not mean easy.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
If it is not easy, how does one go about it?</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
I was taught that before we can actually disassociate from mind chatter which is a part of the great computer that has become "master" while our true self is given back burner as a slave of this lifetime, we have to first clean up our act. That is, the energy body must reach a vibrational level that is beyond the mental contamination of this world. And we do that by practicing High Level Qigong which has as one of its main goals the goal of raising the energy body vibrational frequency.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
Of course it is called gungfu for a reason. It does take the time & effort, which many are unwilling to do. </div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
2) Practice Your Qigong</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
I do believe the explanation is taken care of in the above paragraph. Plus we get all sorts of amazing side-effects like we don't get as sick as before we practiced and we can tap into healing energetics to help others.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
3) Calmness</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
Calmness is extremely important since we lose our connection/harmony with our true self when we are not calm. When we practice our qigong we calm others due to the nature of the field (one can look at is as "magnetic induction if they wish). HOWEVER (another "gotcha", in a way) when we are not calm we effect others negatively. I say "in a way" because if we actually practice the high level qigong which induces calmness in itself, all it takes is simple reminders to remain calm up until a point that the common aspect IS calmness. But due to human emotion we do need to remind ourselves if we get off tract.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
I propose that if everyone practiced these 3 things that eventually this world would be much more in harmony and everyone in it would be much more in harmony with others. Wars would end. Peace would be upon us. Creative energetics would flow unimpeded.</div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">
WOW!</div>

<br />
<br />
<br />
My opinion comes from many years of observation. I have had many tai chi practitioners come through my classes; the oldest had practiced tai chi for 90 years! What I found was a completely different understanding of energetics and that the energetics do differ significantly from qigong; and let me be clear I am really speaking of neigong versus what some call qigong that are more calisthenic oriented or are simple breathing exercises.<br />
<br />
I have found Tai Chi to be a great physical exercise that also produces many mental as well as physical benefits, also, in the classical TCM sense, helps restore energy circulation through the channels. I have no problem with this and do suggest Tai Chi as a great exercise. But when it comes to transmutation and raising the vibration of the energy body - not so much.<br />
<br />
There was an interesting article about the history of tai chi in one of the MA magazines a few years ago. And that was about the reason it is currently taught to do slowly. Seems that (a long time ago and far away) one of the top teachers injured himself and during his recovery had to do the movements slowly because he couldn't do them fast like what was currently taught. So everyone else started doing it slowly due to the current top master doing so. Of course I realize the popular view among the martial folks is that it is done slowly so as to learn the exercises (which I agree with) and the popular view among the tai chi-as-qigong folks it is done slowly to maintain proper alignment for energy circulation and to feel the qi.<br />
<br />
One of the differences of opinion about Tai Chi is due to the fact of the difference in the way people are taught. I was shown each move's martial application which adequately demonstrated Tai Chi is a vicious and brutal martial art. Can a person slow it down and utilize it as a "qigong"? I say yes but with certain caveats. One is that a qigong form (preferable an internal form) should be practiced concurrently with a person utilizing the qigong energetics inside the tai chi. The other is that there are certain carryover energetics from the fact that each of these moves were designed to maim someone (stop the heart, break the jaw, displace the shoulder etc). An attached "karma" or perhaps just to say "attached energetics" would be one way to look at it. I can demonstrate this with a field of horses. If I do Gift of Tao neigong movements the horses are attracted and come very close and get in a really relaxed droopy jawed, almost closed eye state. The very second I switch over to either tai chi or hsing I (with no change in body tension or sudden move) the horses jump to attention and the leader walks out to challenge, although he does have a confused stance as if to say "But you are my friend, why are you challenging me?" It is quite obvious to me that they are picking up on the energetics difference. And, I have performed this experiment many times and with different horses.<br />
<br />
Also, I have met very few who could adequately perform Wai Qi Liao Fa from doing only tai chi.<br />
<br />
My own personal conclusion is to practice neigong alongside the tai chi and integrate these energetics inside the movements. Although from my experiments with animals (PETA, no animals were harmed during this testing) I also conclude there is no way to separate the martial energetic attachment. Dilute it, yes; separate it, no.<br />

I have talked about this subject before but let's revisit.<br />
<br />
Q] OK. So what is YOUR definition of Wu Wei?<br />
A]<i> Uh, there isn't one. </i><br />
<br />
Q] What the heck! Here I thought you were going to tell me what Wu Wei is?<br />
A]<i> Sorry, can't do that. I can talk around the subject but no way in heck can anyone define "Wu Wei". Wu Wei can ONLY be experienced/practiced.</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
Q] OK, so talk around it then.<br />
A]<i> Lets make it easy. Here is a step by step way from
the Taoist internal arts practices: </i><br />
<br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<i>1) Learn authentic internal qigong </i></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<i>2) Practice the method</i></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<i>3) Through the practice burn though all the filters we set in the energy body from birth to NOW. Simple calisthenic practice exercise will not accomplish this - true energetic practices can.</i></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<i>4 ) Raise the energy body vibration
to be in resonance with Heaven</i></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<i>5) Practice LISTENING, then</i></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<i>6) Follow that Listening in the moment of the moment; this implies acting on each moment of the moment</i></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<i>Simple,yes? </i></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
Q] Oh sure, it is simple; what the heck do you mean by LISTENING?</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
A] LISTENING is that flow of information through which, by stilling the mind and cutting the internal dialogue, raising the energy body vibration, and tuning into HEAVEN in the moment of the moment, we flow alongside in harmony with Spirit or Tao's manifestation. LISTENING is a dynamic process, never static.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
Any intellectual reasoning has no
meaning concerning Wu Wei as it is its own thing that is separate
from brain/mind. In terms of our interaction, being that it is
dynamic and never static, "Dance in the Wu Wei" is a more
accurate way of looking at it.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
Thus while I would agree that it is
described in the Taoist literature , that description, when analyzed
by the mind, has no meaning and is indeed totally misleading. The literature was based on a<u> practitioner's</u> experience , not the intellectual concept as formed by the mind. The
meaning only becomes clear with the internal Taoist practices and
until that internal "harmony of notes" is accomplished all the talk
is simply not the thing itself and will never be the
thing itself. Only the Dancing will be the manifestation of (our
interaction with and practice of) the thing itself.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
For those that practice the Arts and do accomplish the burning through of filters, the raising of energy body vibration, and who do LISTEN/Act in harmony with the flow, the results will be always in harmony and can be quite bizarre at times, with convoluted deep meanings that transcend any mental attempt of analysis. The resulting meshing of energetics result in manifestation of much mind-boggling synchronicity and with one always being where they need to be and doing what they need to do - all without doing anything (conscious/mental).</div>

<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
I have written about this before. But I still get the questions.<br />
<br />
OK. I hear you. You have just started in your first qigong class and the person sitting next to you is moaning about the QI. "SO STRONG THIS QI IS!!! " I FEEL IT EVERYWHERE!" "OH!"<br />
<br />
And you don't feel a thing. Nada. And the person in the row over is going on about how the Qi has made his orbit spin so powerfully.<br />
And you have no freakin idea what an "orbit" is, much less feel the Qi. So your confidence in this qigong stuff goes out the window.<br />
<br />
OK, this post is for YOU!<br />
<br />
First off don't worry about the "orbit" person, they could have just made that up.<br />
<br />
But what about that other person that was so enthralled with the Qi they were moaning about how strong it is? Chances are they were actually feeling it. So why can't you? Eh?<br />
<br />
Here is the real deal in a nutshell. Humanity's sensitivity varies from 0 to 100. There is nothing wrong with you.<br />
<br />
"OK, now what?", you may ask. "If I can't feel the Qi then this qigong stuff will not work for me." "Will it?", you add.<br />
<br />
Hmmm, confidence has gone out the window but still a small part of yourself is hoping there is some truth to this qigong stuff.<br />
<br />
GOOD!!!<br />
<br />
One thing I can absolutely tell you as a truth. It works on people whether they can initially feel it or not! For the majority of people, after practicing for a period of time, the sensitivity improves. Therefore have a little faith and keep practicing.<br />
<br />
But what if it doesn't?<br />
<br />
Yes, there are a minority who never feel qi at all. "Ah Ha," you say, "What if I am one of those." "Maybe I should just stop practicing."<br />
<br />
Up to you. But you are missing out.<br />
<br />
I know a particular student of mine that says they can't feel qi. This has been going on for a while. Weird for me as most all my students feel Qi easily. The thing is, I can feel the growth & change of this person's energetics. And now this person is doing medical qigong healing with a fantastic result rate. The majority of people he projects qi to feel it very strongly. I have also seen people who couldn't feel at all initially go from the 0 to the 100. In a short period of time.<br />
<br />
Therefore I highly encourage everyone to hang in there with your qigong practice. Most people feel the qi, most who don't eventually can, and those small minority who can't can still raise their energy body vibration, getting all the benefits of the practice.<br />
<br />
Don't worry about it. Good things are in store for you.<br />
<br />

Bacteria Laden Pickles!<br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: left;">
Yes, you heard me correctly. I said,
“BACTERIA laden pickles.” And I said, “What a crock!” So you
didn't hear wrongly.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: left;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
Uh, wait a sec here, this is a Qigong
blog, ISN”T it?</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
Well, yeah.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
So what the heck does that have to do
with you calling pickles laden with bacteria a crock?</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
I didn't call the bacteria laden
pickles a crock. I just said what a crock!</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
“OK, now I am confused,” you mutter
as you reach for the mouse to leave the blog post.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
WAIT! This is GOOD news, not bad.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
And here is why.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
Lactobacilli are the good bacteria.
Lactobacillus belongs to a group of friendly bacteria that normally
live in the small intestine. They can help us in many ways with our
immune systems. Fermentation helps the lactobacillus thrive and helps
eliminate toxins.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
Wait, did you say “fermentation”?
Is this a story about pickle beer?</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
Yes and No.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
This is a post about<b> fermented brine
pickles</b>, and man oh man are they good.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
I can't absolutely tell you exactly how
this is done, although I was at the time practicing Southern Gentleman
Farming – watching my wife make these. But I sure like to eat them.
The best pickles I have EVER had, bar none!</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
And yes, one can utilize a crock or a
large glass jar to do the fermentation.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
Want the recipe?</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
We got it from the book <i>WILD
FERMENTATION</i> by Sandor Ellix Katz , which has recipes for a whole
plethora of fermented goodies.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
How does this tie in with qigong?</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
Qi in the body is to a large extent
governed by the foods we eat. Which would YOU say has more qi, a
pickle that supports the body's digestive process or one that
doesn't?</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
Well, you can argue the above statement
all you want. I am going to the fridge and get me a good ole
fermented, crunchy pickle.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />

Qi Is For Breakfast!<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"><b><br />
</b></span></div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"><b>What is “Qi”?</b></span></div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">One can read all sorts of books and attempt to describe Qi from the writings. Alas, one can't actually do this for it will always be just an attempt. Why? I will attempt to answer, but bear in mind that an answer can be meaningless until the experience of Qi is self-evident. </div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">I have seen it written that qi is the experience of moving the body in an efficient, natural, and harmonious manner. Is this true? I would say this is absolutely true. In fact, in the Gift of the Tao neigong movement system we have a move designed to do this very thing. And for this fact to become self-evident is a very good thing indeed. But is that all Qi is? Absolutely not.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">I have seen it written that Qi is the experience of energy in the body through the body's natural biochemical release. Is this true? It absolutely is true, to an extent. However, it is the Qi itself that stimulates this production rather than that the production IS the qi. This of course can be argued in the fact that the biochemical production can and will lead to increased wei qi. But what I am saying is that Qi is MORE than that.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"></div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">I have seen it written that Qi is the air we breathe due to the current Chinese character for Qi being “Air”. One must remember that the old way of writing this character was steam or vapor rising from a cauldron cooking. Does air have Qi in it? Sure does. Is concentrating on breathing air the most efficient manner of “cultivating” Qi? Absolutely not – but we will save this argument for another time. Suffice it to say that Qi is much more than air.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div><br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">For some reason many folks have a reluctance to believe that Qi is energy. The thing is, <b>once one immerses themselves in the practice of Qi manipulation it becomes a self evident fact that Qi IS energy</b>. One also experiences the Qi as energy at a certain point in cultivation practices. But is this ALL that Qi is? I would say no. WHAT? But you said Qi IS energy! OK, I will attempt to explain.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Once a person immerses themselves in real and actual cultivation practices such as neigong, it becomes apparent the connection of Qi and creativity, or manifestation. In the Stillness-Movement medical qigong, when we do Qi manipulation we are manifesting the healing utilizing raw creativity & energy. I call this raw creativity INTENT and use this word to differentiate between linear intention and quantum level creation or manifestation utilizing Qi. Without going deeper into this, lets just say that it is a fact that Qi is inherently tied into this manifestation, and that this leads to the conclusion that <b>Qi IS the raw creative fabric of the universe</b>. Want to argue with this? Then practice real neigong for at least 3 years and then lets talk. Because all this is simply mental masturbation of the highest order UNTIL it becomes self-evident; it is impossible to intellectually understand.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Qi for breakfast? Sure, why not.</div>QigongAmericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12500782610870388657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7067361574459883912.post-2138197896007892462011-05-21T14:42:00.000-07:002011-05-21T14:42:06.143-07:00Springfield, Missouri June 18,19,20 Stillness-Movement Neigong, Medical Qigong, and Taoist Medicine WorkshopJoin us and learn the amazing Stillness-Movement Neigong system. </b></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;">Enter the world of the non-linear and try to figure out how to describe a non-linear happening, event, or cultivation system with mere words. The thing is, it really is very difficult to talk about. How does one truly explain a non-linear method, as all explanations are linear? The truth is we can't, we can only approach, doing the best we can with limited brain oriented linear vocabulary. But I will attempt to describe the Stillness-Movement & Gift of Tao Neigong to some extent with words. Health, awareness, and the ability to help others - this is why one should practice these methods. Now please understand that, although this system is very powerful in development of the ability to manipulate energy for medical purposes of healing others, there are thousands that practice it for the health and awareness aspect.<br />
<br />
First, the difference in neigong and qigong. It appears that most people do not really understand this. You can look at it as qigong being an umbrella term covering all the qi oriented exercises. Stillness-Movement Neigong is internal and involves the process of first creating a dan tian, translated usually as "field of elixer", then filling it with Light. I translate it more as "place where energy storage and transmutation occurs". Note also that the dan tian is at our center of being. The Teacher energetically works with each student to give them a "spark" or initialization of the dan tian with Lineage oriented Heavenly vibrations. The student then goes home and works with this on his own. As the student does his homework the energy there gets denser and denser, glowing brighter and brighter. SEERS see this as once the energy gets to a specific density and vibration, it rises up through the body, opening each energy center in a natural non-traumatic and safe manner. Note this differs significantly from any type of forced method. Once the energy does that it pops out of the top of the head and connects us with Tao (source, Heaven, any number of words utilized in different explanations). When we reach this point we then learn to "dance in the Wu Wei". I call this process "Listening". Actually this "Listening" starts much sooner, as the energy begins building in the Dan Tian, but it manifests strongly after the energetics open all the centers and pops out the top of the head. What does this mean practically? Enhancement of intuition would be one phrase to describe what I am referring to. Synchronicity would be another word. Actually there are many other words as this process is so potent, I don't think I can list all the words to describe it.<br />
</span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;">The Energy Body Vibration Aspect of the Practice </span></div><br />
<div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;">A person has a specific level of awareness when they begin the practice. A level of energy body vibration. I work with each student at the level they are when they walk into the workshop. And the same thing when one begins practicing the movements from the DVD. We raise the energy body vibration frequency which in turn raises one's vibration closer to "heavenly vibrations" This is ALSO an important aspect of what I referred to earlier as "dancing in the wu wei". This ALSO is an important aspect of the awareness factor. This ALSO is an important aspect of the "Listening" process. I talk more and demonstrate more of this process in my next book due this summer.<br />
<br />
As opposed to conventional qigong methods which are more geared at circulation of the energy, in internal Stillness-Movement Neigong the circulation process is automatic, and non forced, while all the other things I described above happen. In fact, the whole process is automatic. One does not need to concern themselves with anything I just wrote.<br />
<br />
The Gift of the Tao Movements are indeed neigong. They were derived from the practice of Stillness-Movement and are energy patterns as seen in the higher vibratory levels. An ideal combination is the practice of both Gift of the Tao and Stillness-Movement, although one can reach a very good level doing either, as the Gift of Tao are reflections of the Stillness-Movement practice. Unlike simple qigong which is linear oriented, these movements are essentially non-linear in that if one just observes them, they can have no idea of what the practice actually does.<br />
</span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;"><br />
</span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;">Far More Important </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;"> Awakening to Who You Really Are</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;"><br />
</span></div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;">This method has another aspect which is actually far more important than anything I have mentioned so far. <b>The method awakens a person to who they really are, that true "inner core", the Higher Level self.</b> THIS is the true "immortality" spoken of in Taoist practices. It helps a person find and fulfill their Destiny. Destiny referring not to something that just happens to you or you are forced to follow but as that which the true real you has already decided they needed to learn or work with in this lifetime. The other side of the coin is that the medical practices derived from the practice are High Level healing as they are designed to help a person find and fulfill their Destiny.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">The Health Aspect</div></span><br />
<div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;">When I first began doing Taoist qigong I could barely walk, bent over, arms not being able to extend beyond a bent at elbow 90 degrees, intense debilitating back pain, not being able to grasp anything with my hands, intense migraines, unable to chew food, and probably other things which I choose to forget. All from car wrecks (broke jaws in 17 places), falls (broke both arms and wrists at same time) and other injuries (2nd car wreck, more back trauma, other injuries). There is no doubt whatsoever that these practices were responsible in helping my recovery. I have had many students of this system express to me how it helped then recover from many different dis-ease situations. Most people who practice have less colds, less subject to falling ill to virus, miss less sick days, if they do get sick they recover faster, etc. It does NOT mean that practitioners never get sick as ANYONE can.<br />
<br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;">The "Ability to Help Others" Aspect of the Practice</span></div><br />
<div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;">A person does not have to be a healer for the practice to help others. As we raise the energy body vibration frequency, when we interact with others, there is a "magnetic induction" effect. we actually assist the other person in awareness enhancement, to a point. So the practice can not only raise the vibration frequency of you but of the whole area in which one practices. An example of this is I moved from one location to another about 7 years ago. Students tell me they drive by where I used to live and see as well as feel the energy still there. So we are helping others no matter what walk of life we do.<br />
<br />
I hope this is helpful to anyone wishing to know more about the practices I teach. </span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;"></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: x-large;">You can find out all this on your own by attending my next workshop in Terre Haute, Indiana March 26,27, and optional 28, then practicing what you learn.</span></div>QigongAmericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12500782610870388657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7067361574459883912.post-35352503575057189262011-02-19T16:03:00.000-08:002011-02-19T16:03:27.886-08:00Terre Haute, Indiana March 26th, 27th, and optional 28th Stillness-Movement Neigong & Medical Qigong WorkshopJoin us to learn an authentic Taoist Lineage Neigong method, Stillness-Movement Neigong. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"> <div align="CENTER" style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; widows: 2;"><br />
</div><div style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"> <span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Mind is a very powerful thing. Oh Yeah! In fact, I would have to say it is one of the more powerful things on the Earth. After all, <u>Mind is the Master for over 90% of humanity</u>. That's pretty freakin powerful! There are even religions that have, through centuries, heck, even thousands of years, developed techniques to enhance Mind, for all just KNEW that the ticket to freedom was and is development of Mind. Work it baby work it! Massage it. Care for it. Contemplate on it. Meditate on it.</span></span></div><div style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"><br />
</div><div style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">And a very astounding fact; </span></span></span></span><span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><span style="font-style: normal;"><u><span style="font-weight: normal;">MOST of humanity are absolutely tricked by Mind into believing that Mind is who they really are! </span></u></span></span></span><span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">Absolutely convinced. The typical response, when this is pointed out, is “Oh ON NO NO, you can't tell me otherwise. You are wrong wrong wrong, Mind IS everything.” Guess who tells them to say that?</span></span></span></span></div><div style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; widows: 2;"><br />
</div><div style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"> <span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">So what has happened here? <u><b>What has happened is that Mind is now humanity's worst enemy! </b></u>Mind has made a slave of poor little miniscule Spirit, that inner core Divine spark that we all have residing within, the true-heart of our beings. Spirit now has no say, Mind makes the decisions.</span></span></div><div style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"><br />
</div><div style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"> <span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Has anyone looked about them and asked WHY is humanity absolutely insane at this stage of development? Nothing really makes sense. Oh, it makes sense to the Master, old Master Mind. For Spirit has been suppressed to just a small spark.</span></span></div><div style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"><br />
</div><div style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"> <span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">But attempt to tell this to over 90 % of the population and they will not believe you; the response always being, “Ah, phooey on you! <u>Mind is everything” (or so Mind keeps telling that very person who may be told that Mind is the enemy).</u></span></span></div><div style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"> <br />
</div><div style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Mind has developed and the religions offering homage to the mind have developed – all guaranteeing FREEDOM! And Mind has taken over. No longer is there a Spirit, for those that choose this path, only Mind. And let me tell you Mind likes it; Master over all, the BIG Honcho, inventing complex mental works of explanation.</span></span></div><div style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"> <br />
</div><div style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"> <span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">In fact,<u> </u><b>MIND IS THE VERY </b><u><b>WORST ENEMY THAT WE CAN EVER HAVE! </b></u>It has created an <u>endless feedback loop </u>for most of humanity who is stuck in the mental plane and playing recordings over and over and over. Yes, those "layers" and "signposts" are nothing but endless feedback loops.</span></span></div><div style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"><br />
</div><div style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"> <span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Oh, Mind shows those that are experts on it, those that have worked hard massaging it, exactly how to get to “freedom”. But it never lets a person, if it can at all be helped, know that this “freedom” offered is nothing more than the endless loops, going on and on until death. A very practical endless feedback loop. You get the picture. Yes, Mind is finite!</span></span></div><div style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"><br />
</div><div style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"> <span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">And to be fair, those who endlessly work with MIND, massaging and admiring it, are a smaller portion of humanity. Let us address the remainder. It was really easy for Mind to take over as the Master Enemy of this portion of humanity. Mind didn't even need to exert any power at all – just stepped right in and took over pretty as you please. <u><b>THIS is the reason for the mass insanity we now observe in Humanity!</b></u></span></span></div><div style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"><br />
</div><div style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"> <span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Humanity has almost forsaken Spirit in favor of Mind. Do you think if we all let inner Spirit be the Master instead of Mind that this past weekend's insanity would have occurred (the famed S thing, you know, that insane game where people toss a ball to someone and tell them to run through a pack of intensely body developed people that would rather do nothing other than bring said ball carrier crashing down)? Yes, literally millions and millions and more millions of dollars are spent for the privilege to watch people bashing in each others heads. Or that governments would spend billions and billions on killing other parts of humanity (you know, wars)? Or that we would forsake each other in our desire to acquire more and more possessions?</span></span></div><div style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"><br />
</div><div style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"> <span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">But what about the other less than 10% of humanity that Mind has not taken over as Master? Ah, <u><b>luckily it turns out that the Divine Spark that is our inner core, although heavily suppressed by Mind, is not totally extinguished in any of us. </b></u>Our True-Heart remains. And because through these centuries there were always those very few men of knowledge that kept this spark alive and refused to let Mind ride as Master but instead turned Mind into a powerful slave by bringing forth Spirit to be the Master, <b>there is opportunity for everyone to turn the tables on Mind and</b><u><b> let their true inner Spiritual core be the Master.</b></u></span></span></div><div style="font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"><br />
</div><div style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2;"> <span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Hmm, let us contemplate that. NO NO NO! <b>Let us take responsibility for who we really are and embrace that Divine inner Spirit, the True-Heart that we all possess, and bring forth Light into the world. </b>Let us end this craziness NOW!</span></span></div></span>QigongAmericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12500782610870388657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7067361574459883912.post-45177435444146079102011-02-03T06:25:00.000-08:002011-02-03T06:25:44.420-08:00The Great Goat HealingI had gone outside to break the ice for our animals here on the farm and quickly scooted back inside for the temperatures were in the low teens.<br />
<br />
After warming up and writing a bit for my new book, I went back outside to toss some more hay to the animals.<br />
Imagine my most serious shock and surprise to see a poor goat that had somehow fallen into the water tank. This poor creature had only her head sticking out of the water with her front hooves hooked over the edge of the tank. And the water was frozen solid around her! As in she couldn't move - at all.<br />
<br />
I quickly broke the ice and pulled her out of the tank. I then did a quick Tui Na massage on her to help restore circulation. But it was not enough. This unfortunate creature was suffering from severe hypothermia and shock and was very near death.<br />
<br />
Ah, but sometimes intervention can lead to amazing things. I brought her inside, dried her off, and began to do medical qigong healing on this frozen, unable to move goat.<br />
<br />
It can be a shock to anyone's system to see God's creatures suffering. I am a softy concerning these animals which most people think of as things, or at best a being who has no sentience or is so low level it does not matter.<br />
<br />
How wrong those type of thoughts are! I have seen time and time again how universal love and intelligence is expressed by dogs, horses, and yes, goats.<br />
<br />
But back to the healing. This poor creature went through several stages of change involving first unconsciousness then convulsions and then sporadic neuro firing to frozen limbs. As I continued to project qi I recognized these changes as a promising sign.<br />
<br />
The medical qigong treatment lasted about an hour. At the end of the hour her spasms were reduced to normal body reactions. I carried her back outside and watched as she ran off to join her herd.<br />
<br />
Yes, medical qigong is not reserved for people only but can be used to help all creatures of Tao.QigongAmericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12500782610870388657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7067361574459883912.post-23265151419548725002011-02-03T06:06:00.000-08:002011-02-03T06:06:03.168-08:00London Stillness-Movement WorkshopLondon was a blast; a whirlwind trip it was!<br />
<br />
There was snow & ice in the forecast as I was packing my bags so I left home a day early to arrive at a motel near the airport. I woke up to about 5 inches of snow on the ground and started to have some concern about the plane being able to take off. But my concern dissipated as soon as it arrived for I knew that if the workshop was supposed to happen it most certainly would. I arrived at the airport amidst blowing snow, walked in, went through security, and arrived at my gate. I then looked out the window and it had quit snowing and the sun had come out! 30 minute delay for de-icing of the aircraft and then I was off.<br />
<br />
Approximately 13 hrs later we landed in London, walked off the plane, and there to meet us were two new friends. I wish to publicly state that the guys and gals of London are some of the nicest people one could hope to meet. We were in for a treat as we shared the weekend of energy, friendship, and enjoying the London pub ales after dinner.<br />
<br />
The workshop itself was filled with really good, kind and caring people who were more than willing to take in this amazing Stillness-Movement Neigong system. They all did great and I am sure went home with new tools in their toolbox for helping humanity. It was especially nice having the multicultural experience of people from so many different countries! Even though at times they possibly may not have understood my obvious "Southern" USA accent, we all understood each other fine from the common experience of energetics - that universal language that was SO prevalent during the weekend.<br />
<br />
It was with the joy of the total experience and new friends that we departed for home. The 15 hrs it took to get there flew by as mostly we practiced Stillness-Movement on the plane.<br />
<br />
I am looking forward to more experiences with this amazing group.QigongAmericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12500782610870388657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7067361574459883912.post-76910068664286439382010-12-26T07:21:00.000-08:002010-12-26T07:21:43.341-08:00NOW on Kindle: A Light Warrior's Guide to High Level Energy HealingOne would think that if they have a book in any of the major word processing or publishing formats that, to publish an Ebook, it would be a simple matter of taking the file, hitting a button, and viola! Bam! Instant Ebook!<br />
<br />
Well, let me tell you, if you do not already know this, it is far, far from the actual doing to think that this can be done. In fact, if one is not familiar with HTML editing, there are very few options. I have explored most of them.<br />
<br />
When this did not work initially, I did not panic but started trying alternative ways of doing it. And tried some more. I gave up and tried casting a spell on the file. Which actually worked to the same amount of efficiency as the other methods did. Meaning I had nothing.<br />
<br />
Finally, after cussing certain software companies, and going through the stages of denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance, I was at a standstill.<br />
<br />
Luckily for me, at this point I came across a little software package called Jutoh. This package saved me and the book from further software abuse, and allowed me to publish as an Ebook for the Kindle.<br />
I have a kindle and love it. To me, it is a far better format for reading than a paper book.<br />
<br />
So for those that agree with me, I present for your reading pleasure:<br />

Yes, one can learn and practice the system I teach and utilize it for self. It is not just meant for healers, but for practical raising of the energy body vibration.<br />
<br />
But the path of the healer is different. It requires quite a bit of sacrifice, in terms of time & effort, and in terms of experiencing and enjoying other aspects of life. And, I have never said that the path of the healer optimizes ones longevity. Quite possibly, the longevity aspect will be as much determined by genetics as anything else. Due to the intense demand on the body and energetics, as a healer one must constantly be aware of enhancing one's own health. So more time & effort. Sometimes when we would rather be fishing, gardening, talking with friends, or any other number of enjoyable activities, we can't. Because we will be called upon to help others. So the healer must have or develop an intense compassion for helping others. This compassion overrides practical every day activities.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">The NEED for Balance</span></b></div><br />
Ah, here we get into the tricky part. We must also strive to have balance, as much as possible. So, even though there are times we need to do healing when we may rather be doing something else, we must manifest the time to do something for that balance. It needs to be something that we enjoy. For me, I attempt to achieve that balance through farming, and through playing high energy rock n roll.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsQ7BSfQ1KTmF37ATlMC9OPvummp8Ghj7kvKSs8tmpG503Ga2jxCWTiHxxTF8-TUPz7zY7pVbq4OL3mgr5MNVTpC7i4P6PBsMXKWxwsuHnFPAokJHTQ28xS6Ipr4Zc2am4YdvByPRapbM/s1600/Band+Pictures+006.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsQ7BSfQ1KTmF37ATlMC9OPvummp8Ghj7kvKSs8tmpG503Ga2jxCWTiHxxTF8-TUPz7zY7pVbq4OL3mgr5MNVTpC7i4P6PBsMXKWxwsuHnFPAokJHTQ28xS6Ipr4Zc2am4YdvByPRapbM/s320/Band+Pictures+006.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmUuFFWRUPD2Zjp45SwpupxvYX-VsNNLRTCYfa3WpJXXfZsthWZYOhe1GO49I1g1-JBkJfXl_RfM9vtweucAhaCRXOnxs0RshiFJSbK7aSKzZGsSw_88Wqt3zME670woIeZSt_sBsIjc8/s1600/IMG_0302.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmUuFFWRUPD2Zjp45SwpupxvYX-VsNNLRTCYfa3WpJXXfZsthWZYOhe1GO49I1g1-JBkJfXl_RfM9vtweucAhaCRXOnxs0RshiFJSbK7aSKzZGsSw_88Wqt3zME670woIeZSt_sBsIjc8/s320/IMG_0302.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div>So whatever it is that one enjoys, he/she must make the time to do that or suffer the consequences of life imbalance. Although I must admit, that, for me, I have developed the qigong aspect of maintaining a 24/7 awareness of qigong-state, so I am doing qigong rock n rolling and horse qigong in the pictures.</div><div><br />
</div><div>So, in the end, I do not recommend the path of the Healer to anyone unless they KNOW, in the true-heart, that they are supposed to be doing Healing. Certainly any other reason, such as desires to make money, are not reasons which support the sacrifice required to be a healer. Must easier to do something else in life. But, if one does feel this heart connection, there is almost nothing that gives true joy as much as seeing someone's face light up when their pain instantly disappears.</div><div><br />
